The deposit match applies only to a user’s first deposit, and only users who have not previously opened an AmWager account are eligible.
AmWager’s new player bonus is fairly easy to convert to cash. The only catch is that AmWager does not provide the deposit bonus upfront.
Instead, after claiming the AmWager bonus, bettors need to wager an equal amount within 30 days of signing up. For example, if a new user deposits $100, they must place $100 worth of wagers within 30 days to receive the maximum bonus funds.

AmWager Rewards Program
AmWager runs a straightforward cashback rewards program that automatically returns a percentage of customers’ wagering activity to their accounts every morning in the form of wagering credits.
The points-based system rewards customers for every dollar they wager on horse races. All AmWager customers earn a minimum of 4 points per dollar wagered, but earn rates ramp up significantly as users advance through eight tiers based on their monthly wagering totals. The higher your tier, the more points you earn per dollar:

- Example 1: A new customer who places a $10 WIN bet after joining AmWager would earn 40 points at tier 1 (4 points per dollar wagered on straight or exotic bets).
- Example 2: A customer who wagered $12,000 last month and places a $100 trifecta would earn 1,300 points at tier 5 (13 points per dollar wagered on exotic bets).
AmWager automatically converts points to wagering credits each morning at a rate of 1,600 points per $1 in wagering credits. That works out to an effective cashback rate of 0.25% at the low end to 2.5% at the high end.
For example, a customer who earns 3,200 points on Monday would receive a $2 wagering credit on Tuesday morning. Unused wagering credits expire 30 days after receipt.
In summary, the AmWager rewards program is comparable to other loyalty schemes offered elsewhere. AmWager once had the best loyalty program in the business, but it has since dialed back the earn rate. Previously, AmWager did not use a points-based system and simply returned straight-up cash at rates of 2% to 5%.
The new AmWager rewards program still provides value, but customers need to be fairly high-volume bettors to earn significant rewards at a decent rate.
Note: AmWager does not offer loyalty rewards to Idaho and Illinois customers due to high source market fees in each state.
AmWager Refer-a-Friend Program
AmWager does not currently offer a refer-a-friend program. However, company officials have indicated they may reactivate it in the future.
Under the old AmWager referral program, customers could refer their friends by logging in to their accounts and grabbing their custom referral links. Users who sent those links to their friends received $25 for every new user who signed up and placed $100 worth of wagers. Each referred friend also received a $25 instant wagering credit for signing up.
