Sportradar And NBC Sports Data And Content Deal

Sportrader and NBC Sports Regional Networks Sign Deal

Sportradar and NBC Sports Regional Networks have just signed a new partnership deal. Focusing on data and content, the two companies seek to create better engagement opportunities for next-generation sports fans. The sports betting and entertainment company will provide the networks of NBC with a suite of solutions and offerings via its Broadcast Services. The suite is well-equipped to enhance the live-game coverage of sporting events and move the needle on in-play sports betting.

The new deal is an expansion of an existing partnership between Sportradar and NBC. As the press release notes, the two recently worked together to create a unique betting opportunity alongside a Chicago Bulls NBA game broadcast in late April.

The is for NBC Networks to leverage the expertise of Sportrader to create more fan engagement. Live sports and data will be combined to create more ways for fans to feel connected to sports games and their favorite teams.

Sportradar’s live odds sports betting data interface will help the networks to deliver faster information updates on-screen. Live game action will be complemented with quality graphics suited to the sports event. Specialized league data provided by Sportrader allows the company to create engaging storylines during live events. In addition, the company is connected to MLB Statcast and NBA Advanced Stats, which provides deeper insight into professional baseball and basketball games.

The networks can use all of the products and services provided by Sportradar to personalize viewer content based on the market and fan interest. The customization aspect will help NBC stand out above other networks as a top sports coverage provider.

Brian Josephs, the Vice President, Digital Sport, Sportrader, commented on the new deal by stating:

Sportradar is excited to expand its relationship with the NBC Sports Regional Networks as they continue to evolve their offerings to further engage the next-generation sports fan.”

According to Josephs, the technology platform and 360-degree approach will allow the networks to use several of the company’s capabilities and provide the flexibility to create customer experiences.

Continued Growth for Sportrader

The new NBC deal is just one way that Sportrader has grown in 2021. The company continues to secure deals regularly to gain ground in the sports betting industry of the US. For example, in March, the company announced the acquisition of Synergy Sports. With this acquisition, the company is better equipped to offer betting services in the states.

With the deal, the 360-degree product suite of Sportrader grows larger, helping the company strengthen partnerships with sports groups in the United States. The agreement also builds on existing relationships with the MLB and NBA.

The sports data company is also focused on game integrity. In February, Sportradar announced it is now providing Universal Fraud Detection System services to sports leagues and federations who sign up this year.

The specialized fraud detection system finds match-fixing issues. From the onset of detection, a league can then choose to investigate the problem or use the team of Sportrader to investigate. The service is completely free and considered a game-changer regarding a worldwide effort to stop match-fixing in the sports industry.
